An embarassing day for Superluli

I decided to wikipedia the actual independence day of egypt not the bull shit 23rd of july date.
In the mean time i checked our national anthem, turns out it's made out of not just the one part i know. It's actually made up of 5 parts! and i do not know them.
So i decided to wikipedia Germany's national anthem in the hopes that the song i know by heart is only the first part, there must be other parts too that i do not know. Turns out no - i know the full German National anthem - all of it. I know who wrote the music, when, for whom all of it!
But the Egyptian one? Not!
I am not German, but my school obviously taught me well.
So in my quest to overcome this sheer and utter embarassment i am learning the egyptian national anthem by heart! ALL OF IT!

Shame on me...

Here we have a similiar situation. The Australian anthem has two verses but for the most part only the first is sung. The divide between those that know the second verse and those that don't is almost generational. Up until 1984 the anthem was still "God Save the Queen/King" so my parent's generation had to 're-learn' our anthem... for most it was the first time they had used the word 'girt' in a sentence!

Not only that, but the two verses that make up the Australian anthem are very-slightly-amended versions of verse 1 and 3 of a 5 verse poem! And even less people know them!

The omitted verses (verses 2, 4 and 5) quite heavily glorify the british too, which is probably why they were left out and are not technically part of the national anthem.

We have an English and French version to the Canadian anthem, plus a version that has both French and English in it.

We always had to sing the English in elementary school...every monday before assembly.

I couldn't recite the French version to save my life, nor the combined version.
