I am sick and tired of defending my faith!
It shouldn't be that hard!
It should make my life easier, not turn my brain into an automatic defense program.
It should make people better, not turn them against each other.
I am calling it quits! I am detaching myself of the masses who currently follow this faith.
Now i just need to develop a name for the faith i DO believe in, since the original one is already taken, creates negative associations and is somewhat misleading now.

i agree with you Luli, it's so sad and it hurts to see and listen to these news!
But you know it feels even worse when someone comes and ask you what the hell happened in your country, i thought you guys are open-minded. Then they start talking about Islam and terrorism. Basically i have no answers anymore, whenever anyone ask me now, i'm like fuck it! i don't care!
Maybe what i'm doing is a very reactive attitude from me, but i would rather be reactive than caring about it and getting my blood pressure rising every day! it became so irritating
When visiting wonderful Egypt a year and ½ ago, I was deeply moved by the openness of the ppl. I could sit down w/a local and 1 minute later we were discussing faith and beliefs. You jus't cant do that in Denmark. If a stranger talks 2 u about God, he's a religious nut out prozelyting.
So it seems ppl from the ME wear their religion on the outside, whereas in Scandinavia we keep it private. Sadly so, after 1½ generation of Muslim prescence "we" didn't know the 1st thing about Islam until the cartoon thing. Like "Muslims ? oh, them guys flying planes into tall buildings"
It seems the name "Islam" has been hi-jacked by dark forces. It must be frustrating.
My background is Protestant Christian. But I call myself a theosophist: noboby knows what that is, so I say agnostic.
Anyways, I followed your discussion w/FFE about the hijab. You might want to look at it thru blue eyes.

A comment from a young, unveiled, Muslim, Egyptian woman would honour me.
Shokran
