So the book i got seemed good, pulizer prize winner, not so expensive and had an intriguing opening line.
When the grandmother of the heroine/hero (it could be either, she/he/it is confused) marries her brother, that's when i decided to stop reading.
Now homosexuality and other gender issues, i have learned to tolerate - but i draw the line at incest!!
So now i am shopping for a new book! A book that doesn't challenge my worldview THAT much!

now, it's just a book
Luli...i agree with Mix. It's just a book. You didn't say what book it was though!
And if you're on the lookout for a book that will not challenge your worldly views, check out "Le Petit Prince" - by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
Hey...the link just worked...
seems like an interesting book.
I might have a swipe at reading it.

Nisin is trying to convince me to give it another shot
40 more pages!
hmmmm
I read le petit prince alreay. My favorite is le petit Nicolas, that's where i learned all my french - haha
It's a really great book. You're totally missing out.
i felt the same way about "Fall On your Knees" - why can't so called great canadian literature get along without incest?
of course we have the imminent Garcia Marquez's Hundred Years of Solitude, a Nobel Prize winner. as for me, I have engaged in literally thousands of acts of sexual congress with my sister, and not once did i think it was right
